Questions
What is held in memory?
Rithere's server holds your text only while Gemini writes the answer, usually a few seconds. Your PC keeps the text a prompt replaced for 60 seconds, so you can undo.
What goes into the logs?
The time, status, duration and IP address of each request. Never your text. These logs are deleted after 1 day. The app's log file on your PC never holds your text either.
How long are prompts and answers kept?
Rithere: not at all. Google: 55 days, for abuse checks only. Your PC: in History, until you clear it.
Is anything cached?
Not by Rithere. Google may store a request briefly while it serves it.
Does Rithere sample requests for abuse checks?
No. Your text is never saved anywhere we can read it. To stop overuse, we only count requests per account.
Which terms apply at Google?
Rithere uses the paid Gemini API. Under its terms, Google doesn't use your text to improve its products. It keeps it 55 days to detect abuse, and its staff may review flagged requests. Google sees Rithere's server, not your IP address or account.
What stays on my PC?
History of your last 500 runs and your last chat, so you can find them again. Clear both in Settings → History. If Windows Clipboard History is on, it may also save text Rithere copied from your selection.
Is the connection encrypted?
Yes. Every request travels over HTTPS, from your PC to Rithere's server and from there to Google.
